I have a strange problem. It seems that my computer cannot deal with local cookies (those set by sites I develope localy under IIS). The same script, up on the net, works OK, on my home computer, it does not. My guess is the it sets OK the cookie, but for reasons I could not understand it can not read them back. For instance, I have a voting script which, after I vote, it is supposed to show me the results, for preventing double voting... Well, it takes me back to vote again. Another example is this very forum software, which I can not log in since it can not read the cookie... But as you can see, when using it from the web, it works. I went up to uninstall IIS an then re-install it, even I have reinstalled windows, but the problem persists. All work OK, except those cookies.

First: Make sure that your browser has cookies enabled! Second: How are you setting the cookies, is the Response.cookies command appearing before the <html> tag? Third: If it works fine when you throw it onto the net why are you worrying about it?

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Because I work on several projects and I want to be sure of them before i throw them on the net.
The strengest thing is that if I redefine the site in IIS works for a while, then it stops working.

Did you try powering off your server?

I had the same problem as you.
Do you have somthing like the following...
Response.Cookies("YOURCOOKIE").Domain = "www.YOURDOMAIN.com"
That was what was "wrong" with my code.
