Change defaults during user registration

I edited the settings at tblAuthor in the db, able to change the defaults to "Yes" for the last 3 settings , but couldn't get the default settings "show my email"; "notify me of replies to post", "notify me by email when i receive a private message" to say YES during user registration!  can someone tell me where can make them "YES" by default?
