    Posted: 13 August 2003 at 11:41pm

Does anyone know how to upgrade from Snitz Forum to Web Wiz without having to lose all the discussions we have in our Snitz Forum database?

I want to use Web Wiz but I do not want to start from ground zero since we have such a good collection of discussions.

Please help!

Tell me what version of Snitz and I will take a look and see if anything can be done to migrate it over to Web Wiz Forums.

I will take a look and see if it is possible. No guarantees though!

Completely understandable. I'll get an empty and analyze it first, if it looks possible then I will fill it with some data and go from there.

Well I looked at it and wow!

It might be possible. Unfortunately it would be very time consuming because the tables and relationships are different between the two DBase'. I would suggest to install the Web Wiz Forum and start off fresh. You can add a link to your old forum and just lock topics to prevent future posting but still have it available for reference. Then before you know it your Web Wiz Forum will fill up with post and soon the old forum will become unneeded. I have seen this done on many sites when users have switched to Web Wiz.
