When it's out, I'll be moving from v6.whatever to the impressive v7. (Access version)

I'll be keeping the v6 active but locked (read only) for a while at least, to let people check back on stuff. I know most of the tables are different between the versions, but can what about the users table?

Is it possible for me to simply copy the old table of registered users into the new DB? I'd rather not force everyone to register again!

Ta.

Oops. Don't mind me, I've just seen about the copy scripts. I did search for "version 7 upgrade" first, honest...

Sorry.

There is also an off-line upgrade program that you can download from the forum download page, it does require that you have access 2000/XP installed on your own machine to do the transferring of posts and users between the old and new database.

Thanks - that's probably the way I'll go, given the impending server move as well.

New server does appear to be significantly faster than the "Fast"hosts one, too!
