    Posted: 20 August 2003 at 7:44am

Can someone suggest me (if you know a good one) a simple ASP script that allows me to take some simple stats about my web site users access. I mean a client script (not server) that allows me to archive (on daily bases) in a Access 2000 DB some simple stats as: USER ID, day of access, time, page viewed, etc.

If you know a useful link, let me know it.

In a few word a stats application implemented on my web site to eliminate scripts of third party providers that the most of times give their users a poor service, slowing down web pages loading procedure.

A client-side ASP script?

Why don't you just download the logs and use a log analyzer?

asp is not run on the client so it can't be a client script.

I also doubt you will find an effective script that will run on a client anyway.  The client is not going to know who accesses your site unless it is permenantly connected or is sent the log data.

There are plenty of server scripts out there that you will find at the link dpyers posted.

Cheers,
Andrew

I'm sorry, I probably wasn't clear in my talk. When I talk (not correctly) of client side I mean... there is nothing that provider has to implement on his shared hosting servers (because he simply doesn't allow it). Only ASP running on provider servers. Is is ok this way?
