I upgraded my 6.x database to 7.x using that utility on your download page, but one thing has been bothering me for a while now. Even though I set all the flags to "Registered" except forum access, Guest users can still post messages. it is as if it thinks Guests are registered users. I'm not using email activation if that is relevant...

Also could you add smtp authentication for ASP Mail and other components? even though I have all that it doesn't work because my smtp server requires a username/password to send mail

Did you modify both the group permissions and the generic forum permissions?

ah so that's where all the goodies are, I was looking at just the Group Admin settings. thanks
