today i received a very strange email.. saying:

We've recently registered you in our database as part of our efforts to index every Hosting Company in the World and provide micro and macro statistics about the Web Services industry using this database. To learn more about us, please visit: http://www.webhosting.info

Number of Clients you have as of Aug 2003: 77
Your Rank as a Hosting Company within Egypt : 27
Your Rank as a Hosting Company globally: 2,927

I logged in with the username and password they provided... i found an extremely accurate information about me and my registered domain name, although some of the domains I didn't register in my name!!!

 

Does anyone receive anything like this?

after investigation I knew their source...

they used a search on the DNS server to see how many domains i have, normally i use NS1:NS4.EGYVISION.COM

they used in collecting the information about the registered domains....
