Ok.......i modded the Hidden Hit Counter to show only the hits (i removed the code to reset the counter) and i tried to include the hit counter inside a post, what i did is I created a new post and then went into the database and changed the message body text to <!-- #INCLUDE FILE="..\_counter\mod_counter.asp" --> but when i go back to the forum it ignored the include and only shows a blank message body........ i've done added html and javascript on the db to the message body before and it worked fine but this time it ain't working................ is there any way to do what i'm trying to do?

Thanks in advance,

Fernan

Includes are processed before ASP code..

In other words, by the time the ASP code output that string from the database it was to late to actually parse the include file..

(Thats why we can't do conditional includes in classic ASP, despite what Maddog's tutorial on his site would have us believe...)

Cheers,
Andrew
