hi, i downloaded the assistant mod - works real great until you get to the latest posts they show up fine but links are dead?

the links are trying to get file:///C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/support/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID =138&PN=1

so the question is why does it look fore file not http:// ???

any ideas greatfully recieved.

did you do step number 3 in the setup correctly?

3. in newest_posts.asp.. alter the path to the forum
to your own path where it says 'strMembersModForumPath'
just before the database connections section.

sounds like the forum path isn't correctly set.

Yes i did do that as proved by the posts being displayed just links that dont work??

it isn't proved by that. the posts are displayed because the datebase connection is correct, not the forum path. the links are affected by the forum path.

are you using a redirect? mask? it must be something to do with the forum ath you are using, as that is the first pat of the link it displays.
