hi!
whem I want to add buddy in my list i get this error befor to add :
DEBUG
erreur is happened
do you want to debug?
line 97    (98, 104, 111)
Error: ")" suposed
yes?no?

After severals tests I noticed : With the english version no problem But my forum is for french people so I translate to french files which are in langage folder But two of them get a problem :
pm_langage_file-inc.asp
and
pm_buddy_list.asp
In pm_langage_file-inc.asp whem I change this part to french:
'pm_buddy_list.asp
'----------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
Const strTxtNoBuddysInList = "You have no Buddies in your Buddy List"
......
Const strTxtUserCanNotBeFoundInDatabase = "can not be found in the database.\n\nCheck you havn\'t misspelled the Members Username

I get an error before to add buddy whem this part is in french (or different lines) No problem in english
I think is display problem ??
Debug explorer said that come from with pm_buddy_list.asp:

<td bgcolor="<% = strTableTitleColour %>" width="19%" height="2" class="tHeading" background="<% = strTableTitleBgImage %>"><% = strTxtBuddy %></td>
<td bgcolor="<% = strTableTitleColour %>" width="40%" height="2" class="tHeading" background="<% = strTableTitleBgImage %>"><% = strTxtDescription %></td>
<td bgcolor="<% = strTableTitleColour %>" width="35%" height="2" class="tHeading" background="<% = strTableTitleBgImage %>"><% = strTxtContactStatus %></td>
<td bgcolor="<% = strTableTitleColour %>" width="6%" align="center" height="2" class="tHeading" background="<% = strTableTitleBgImage %>"><% = strTxtDelete %></td>
</tr>

HOW can I resolv this I tried many thinks but I can not

If it is a JavaScript text line that you are changing you need to use JavaScript save text.

It's not that easy to explain this time in the morning.

Do a search on Google for what you can use in JavaScript text. Also I have no experience with the French language and JavaScript.

This like ' will end the string in JS so you need to use the escape charcater \

eg.

don't

would become:-

don\'t

Also try using Mozilla Firebird, under the tools menu it has an excelent JS debugger that makes finding problems in JavaScript so much simpler.

It's also a better browser than IE, you can get it from:-

When I say about using Mozilla I mean for the JavaScript debugger. It's under the tools menu, it should give you a better idea of what the JavaScript error is.

You'll just have to keep trying as I can not see a problem.

Why not look for French lnaguage files in the language file forum and see how others have solved this problem.
