Question 1: how do u make a chatroom that doesnt refresh? mine has to refresh to get the new stuff but i want it to not refresh sort of like msn chat...

question 2: How do u write to a text file? i got errors saying operation completed succeful but nuttin worked so i had deleted the files and cant find a script that actually does work.

question 3: when is the new forum being released...

question 4: does any one have a search and or private message script i can have for learning. I would greatly appreciate it

question 5: whats the code for the page generated in # seconds..

1. Use something like Jpilot, theres no such thing as a non-refreshing ASP solution since ASP is a server side technology

2. Code Samples, if you cannot get it to work, you need to learn about permissions and make sure they are set properly, the code does work

3. When he finishes it (i'm sure you have no clue how much time is involved in something like this, you could guess, but multiply it by 100 and you might be close)

4. look into the sections of WWG, theres working code right there

5. Simple searching of "asp page execution time" on google brings back hits like this (amazing what is available to find on google)

Can some one give me a better tutorial or a download link for the execution time. I tried it like 3000 times and it doesnt work at all .

You can use .net and create a server that you can listen to and send on a udp port.  interface isn't pretty, but it works.  there is a sample of this in the .net SDK that's available from microsoft.

for non refreshing ASP based chat solution... go to www.zbitinc.com and have a look at their chat software.. it 99% like MSN and no page refresh
