Hello,

How can I tell a repeater how many rows he has to display? Is it possible? If not can someone tell me the sql code how to display the first 3 rows? I'm already searching a couple hours...

Ahh paging a repeater. Thats why i try not to use them. What i did once was:

Dim SQL As String ="SELECT TOP 3 * FROM table WHERE ID > " & Cint(request.querystring("LID"))

Then to move to the next page set the querystring paramiter "LID" to the last ID of the record displayed.

Or use a datagrid.

Why hasn't a repeater got a paging function.. Not really like the rest of .NET.

You can't use a Datagrid for somethings. because they need a non tabular feel. And i agree the repeater control should have built in paging...

Yes, any paging should be an option of repeater...maybe in asp.net 2

But thanks Mart, this sql works great!

SELECT TOP 2 * FROM table
