Hi,

I am using 7.6 and for some reason, users can't see the option to get their lost password sent to them.

I have changed the e-mail notification settings, and this did not make a difference. Does anyone else have the "lost" lost password option?

They must enter their email id in profile to get this feature.

The E-Mail is in the profile. It shows right up. It is required in my forum that you have e-mail validation of your accounts...

On this forum, if I go to the login page, I see a "Forgotten your password?" link.

In 7.6 on my site, that link is altogether missing.

Does anyone else not have this link?

1. Check you have specified SMTP Server

2. Have you used any skin for v7.5 ?

Hi India,

I found it. It WAS that e-mail notification setting after all. I got that confused with the setting to require e-mail registration to post to a forum.

Maybe e-mail notification should not have an affect on lost passwords in future versions? See, I had to shut off e-mail notifications because of so many bounced mails flooding the admin box. So I am kind of stuck here... Unless I maybe uncomment out the "if" statement?
