    Posted: 12 December 2003 at 11:52am
I got to tables on an access database that I'd like to merge into 1, each one has about 30 fields and just 1 record. Is there an easy way to merge them into one..?

Thanks,
FeRnAN

Merge as in merge within access or merge as in displaying data from both tables at the same time in asp?

If they have the same columns you can do a simple UNION query.

Merge within access...

They all have different fields and 1 record each table, both tables hold the configuration settings for an application, this is a project I just took over an I though I'd merge both tables so I can get all the settings with a simple query rather than a join but I don't think I can anyways cuz I added a few fields to the first table and got an error that there were too many fields or something like that so I guess that's why the guy had them on two tables.... I didn't knew there was a limit on how many columns you could have...

Thanks...

Thanks, the don't have 255 fields, I read somewhere that everytime you delete a field the count is not decreased so that must be the reason...
