    Posted: 17 December 2003 at 7:29pm

i am now having troulbe with the post reply function.  when the page loads, there is a "there are errors on page" on the bottom toolbar, so i click to find out, and it seems i first get a syntax error on line 142, and it goes to show the url as *.* /forum_posts.asp? tid=19&pn=1

whatever that means, and i can;t make the post reply come off align center, AND there is the dialouge for the ad of the website in the post reply box that i have to delete before i can type my reply to topic.

does this make sense how i explained it?  can anyone help?

well, yes, and yes.  i am using RTE, and i am using a free server, but it was working for awhile, and now it isn't.  that iswhat is puzzling.  nothing has been changed in formatting and it is not just me who experiences this oddness, it is all users.  also, as mentioned before, there is the text of a ad that is further down the page(the free server has an ad)like it is a hyperlink in the reply box, and you can delete this before typing the topic reply.  though what i think is that the ad has somehow made it to the reply box, and so has the formatting for it. (center).  is there any way to get rid of it?

1 ASP host have changed the way their adds are injected into pages, this means that you can no-longer use the RTE with this host or any other free ASP host at this time.

You will need to disable the RTE (WYSIWYG) Editor from the admin area.

Edit the footer.asp file and place the link that they require in that file.

It's in the includes directory.
