Topic: Minor Problem w/ frame_set.asp Posted: 21 December 2003 at 11:35am |
Installed 7.6, everything appears to work okay except when going to the administration area and it attempts to load frame_set.asp. I have checked all permissions, reloaded the file to my web server, etc. Not sure what else I should be checking, but a good handfull of the other files in this directory can be opened from the the web server without any problem. Any help or advice - much appreciated.

Can you give more details?
Do you get an error message?
In what way is it not loading?

After logging in as administrator, go to the admin page which launches frame_set.asp and there is a typhical 500 error telling me the page cannot be found or opened.

Turn off friendly http error messages in IE and post what the error message is.

Okay. Cleared up the problem with the error message. Now I need to know what is supposed to be displayed when you pull this frame_set page. I go to that page now and it is a totally blank screen. I can manually input other pages from that directory, such as find_user or admin_menu and they show up just fine.

The frame set page is just a basic HTML page that loads the two admin menu pages in two frames.

Same problem
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0126'
Include file not found
/admin/common.asp, line 1
The include file 'language_files/language_file_inc.asp' was not found.
Re uploaded file, same issue.

Figured it out
Noticed the common.asp file was 25k in both folders...in my zip file, one is 25k, one in admin is 14k. Checked and editted the admin common.asp file and its all fixed now. I had the one that's in the root folder in the admin one and line 1 asks for the lang file. Opps
See? Ale is good for the mind!
