This will be a server problem, it can happen if the database is open in another program or is being FTP to the server when the forum is trying to access it.

thanks BORG..

I'm running my own server..

could it be that 2 or more users log in at the same time?

or let say I have 2 or more forums ( WWF ) using the same db running on the same server at the same time.. would that be the problem?

one last question.... WWF with MS ACCESS.. what you think the maximum users it can hold before crashing? 1000 users log in at once may be?  Should I upgrade it to SQL? is there any way to convert MS ACCESS to MS SQL ? ..

okay.. that's more than one questions.. sorry  .. hehe

thanks for your help.. and great tips on the Mozilla Firebird!!!

I would say if your hosting your own forums is it with pws?
If not what server is it with?
Most os the Personal servers have a limit of 10 connections at
a time. Now you might say hay it was only me trying to connect.
Well I have been threw this with my pws and when I load the
main wwf forums page it creates atleast 7-10 connection.
Weird. I dont know if it is the different db calls or what. Im a newbie
in Asp. I also noticed that some or all of my pics would not load
if my connections were up to like 8 allready.
So it coulkd be the images doing it too. I know on
pws the error I get is "To Many Users"
Or something like that. So check into the limit of client's your server will allow. Sorry if I was no help.
