Hi, I don't link very much using RTE option to create post & 3d, but I updated 7.6 version with the new 7.7 one and I tried to test the processes.

I turned on RTE but every type of command that needs to use js can't be done, such as typing links, changing text color or something like that.

I also tried to reupload entire 7.7 folder and not only new files but I'm still having the problem.
I've seen that on this site I can use this option.

Which file or files do I need to check in particular?

Are you using a free web host?

If so you can not use the RTE becuase it is not comaptible with the adds free hosts inject in the pages and you should follow the new install instructions for placing the forum on free web hosts.

If it is not on a free web hosts (I wish poeple would give more detail) then it sounds like either a corrupted file, or some sort of site intergartion (again didn't say) is confilicting with the forums javascript coursing it to fail to run correctly.

You need to check files that finsh with either _js.asp or .js

Sorry Borg, I forgot to post more informations!

Anyway it's not a free host, but a normal asp hoster.
You can find the site at www.weppos.com/forum/ link.

I've integrated the forum in the site, but just editing the message_form_inc.asp file.

I also tried to reupload all .js files and _js before posting and at last I decided to reupload all main root files and their includes files in includes folder... but nothing!

Is there some include file into admin root that I need to try to reupload?

Later, if the problem will still be active I'll redowload and reupload 7.7 files...

You seem to have turned off the RTE so I was unable to look to see what the problem was.

Yes, I hade to turn it off because I had some broblems with the db and I had to upload an old backup.

I also reupload 7.6 forum backup to test it and I've seen that also in this release I can't use WYSIWYG editor!

Anyway now it is on if you want to test.

One thing, after i put v7.7 and db of v7.6 i clicked on all categories of admin menu and updated it, do it then it will work, most probs

Looking at the file on your site:-

This file does the javascript for the RTE it looks like a problem with your language files.

The text from your language file used for your javascript needs to have escape characters in it when you use things like ' in a sentence eg:-

Inserire l\'indirizzo del Link
Inserire l\'indirizzo web dell\'Immagine
