Topic: Inactive / Dead members Posted: 15 January 2004 at 9:11am |
Hi,
I have looked through the forums here but don't see any info on this...
How do i batch delete either inactive members, I.E. People who have not completed their memberships by clicking the activation link... or what i call dead members, people who have signed up months ago but never logged in or posted ?
Thanks in advance for any info
Chris.

This information I have here could depend on the version of forum you have but here go’s.
You need to log into admin and under the tab of Forum Clearout and Archive
Now look for Batch Delete Members, for more help on this look at the docs in the Documentation and FAQ's folder of the forum.

Hey,
Thanks... but AFAICS (can see) you can only batch delete members who have never posted... this is ok, but i don't really want to do this to members who have only signed up recently.
Also, from time to time I want to clear out all of the inactive members, but I am not sure this can be done from the admin panel... ?
I am running 6.3 just now but will be upgrading to the latest this week.
Thanks,
Chris.
P.S.. Edited because my spelling was awful !

In 7.7 I have a selection of Batch Delete Members All member accounts or Un-activated member accounts. You need to select Un-activated member accounts that is if you can. If this is not the case maybe you need to upgrade your forum to do this.
