Hi All,

I have just upgraded from Forum version 7.5 to 7.7 and have noticed that the security confirmation has disapeared of the user login page.  I have looked through the documentation, and unless I am missing it, I cant find a reason why this has been changed.  Has something else been put in its place (i.e. hidden)?

Cheers,

Nick

the security code confirmation on login has been removed, as alot of users didnt like it.. i think its a way to enable it, either in the admin area, directly in the database or in a file(probably common.asp)

the security code is still there when users register..

Hi,

Found it.  I was looking under the forum admin wher eI would expect it to be.  As you suggested, the option is in common.asp.  For anyone else wanting to turn it on, the line you need to change in common.asp is:

blnLongSecurityCode = false

to

blnLongSecurityCode = true

Cheers,

Nick

If the security imames are disabled on the login page then it checks the ASP Session ID instead to prevent remote submissions.
