When trying to register as a new user, and selecting email address, homepage and signature, they receive an error message.

on PC = The page cannot be displayed
on Mac = VBScript runtime error '800a0046'
          Permission denied
          /forum/send_mail_function. inc, line 162

Running Version 6.34 w/access 2000

Check your email settings in the forum area. Be sure that your host has enabled the SMTP-server...

If you are using CDONTS and have this error, you need to make sure that the C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue directory has full permisions so that the SMTP server can write to it.

I am using CDONTS.
I need to check that directory on my webserver?

My webserver is not running the SMTP service. My "server administrator" says we can install on Monday. So it looks like I will get the message and no email notification until then. I'll let you all know if it works. Thanks.
