how can I incorporate a full header and side navi-bar onto my forum at www.jammaplus.com , sorry for asking what must seem like something so simple.

You need to edit the header.asp and footer.asp files.

So if I edit the asp file , can I just place the html above the code already in that file? I have some html ready for a header , I just need to know (being an asp newbie) if there is any code that needs to be included??

This has been talked about many may times. Doing a search will turn up quit a few threads that have already discussed this.

Well, ive done a search and Ive made progress from the results. I now have a header on the forum. However I am finding difficult the navigation bar at the side. I want to make the forum appear to the right of it but it ends up inside the bar  . anybody got any ideas how to fix this? sorry once more for sucha newbie question

in header.asp add the following:

<table>
 <tr>
  <td width="20%">Your menu stuff goes here</td>
  <td width="80%">

Then in footer.asp add the following:

  </td>
 </tr>
</table>
