Date format problems

   Has anyone noticed quirky behavior with the Date Format feature?  I have installed WWF on 2 forums, and saw the problem on both...  I have set the forum and my own user profile to display the dates as "mm/dd/yy", but the date is always showing in "dd/mm/yy" fornat.  I checked the tblAuthors table, and my changes are being saved, yet the display does not show what I ask it to.
On the first site, this problem miraculously fixed itself, but I cant get it to work on the second site.  
Anyone else?
