Sorry to post here, I cannot post in the language files area. My question is what do the language files do? do they convert a particular forum entry from lets say German to English. i.e. so a German speaking person can post to an English speaking site and all will be able to read it? or is it something else. I new to this forum by a few months and am wondering if I can allow non-English speaking persons to enjoy my American English site by installing a language mod. Thanks in advance for your help. This has been very enjoyable experience.

Well, till my knowledge

It converts the full forum EVERYTHING in another language

all the textg in the forum is collected in the language files.. it doesnt convert posts from one language to another

I didn't understand what you said.

I think it converts the full user interface in other language ?

the language files is a collection of static constants.. its not a conversion tool.. the standard language files is in english and if you want other languages, you will have to rewrite them..

they willl only afect the text in the forums, not the posts by users
