There are some new quite nasty email viruses around at the moment and I am presently getting these viruses in emails at the rate of 500 per hour and increasing making email almost unusable.

Could everyone who has ever emailed this site please run an UP-TO-DATE virus scanner on their systems.

And for those that don't yet have these viruses, DON'T CLICK ON ANY EMAIL ATTACHMENTS!!

I've tried norton and macaffee and found that they both let viruses through.

As I get aorund 30 viruses in emails aday normally it is essential that I use a good virus program.

For the last few years I have used Trend Micro Internet Security (formally PC-Cillin) and so far it has not let me down once.

The virus round at the moment are so obviously viruses I can't beleive people are clicking the attachments.

It's just a pain in the arse for me having to wait an hour every 2 hours for my email to download at the moment, and thats with a 512kbps connection, just becuase people are stupid enough to open email attachments.

My email policy is simple, if there are graphics at the top, delete it. If I don't know who it is from and there are attachements, delete it. If it is a virus, delete it. If I'm not expecting an attachment and I know who it's from, delete it and email the person. If it is possible for the file attachment to carry a virus, don't open it.

I'm using AVG now, and it seems to work ok. I used to use RAV, and liked it, but MS bought it and it's gone now.
