I am having a little graphics problem. Here is what I am trying to do:
1. Make a logo in Adobe or similar graphics program. Unless your logo is a solid
square, you will need to open a alpha channel.
There are 2 ways to do this.
- use a black background
- create a separate picture with grey as an alpha channel
The first method is
the easiest. If you have any other black in the logo, that'll disappear
using this method. The second method requires making two images,
both this same size. Use grey in areas that you want transparent
on the first image. Save the images as a targa (tga) or bitmap
(bmp).
I am trying to do
the first method and saving it as a bmp file. The program does not seem
to accept TGA files whatever it says. The image attributes are Width
375 Height 288. The file that I am adding to the back background is:
http://www.huwnet.org.uk/images/shuwnet.jpg . The logo should go at the
bottom right. I have tried doing this the simple way in MSpaint but the
virtual dub program does not seem to like it. I have no advanced
graphics programes so if anyone could help I would be very grateful.
