Does anyone know of an uptime script in asp/asp.net?
I know devjunkies.com has a server uptime in days, hours etc. However I need a script that will tell me the percent of uptime my server has had!

You would have to search for a service to do that. Simply because the server cannot count when its not up because its probably switched off and being repaired.

No, he wants the percentage uptime not total uptime.

You could write something into the global.asa file that counted how long the server has been up. After a server has been restarted or reset the global.asa file is reset, so that could tell you the last time the server was shut down.

Yeah but in his case, it does not know how long the server has been down. I suspect he wants to calculate what the uptime/month is, maybe he wants to show his hosting company that they fall below their promised 98% or so...
There are external services that constantly monitor a server, it is clsoe to impossible to do, even with .net doing it on the same server. You never know how long a server is down, unresponsive etc.

Note that a server may be "up", but particular services may be down or in restart- e.g. http, asp, ftp, email, sql server, etc.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

Looks good but I can't do the percent of uptime.
