The description of the mods forum says its for mods, but half of the topics are requests or something. How about cleaning that forum up so its only mods? That would be a bunch better.

I don't mind that to much. Some of the mods were developed within the thread of an original request for the mod.

What would be nice is if somone did a recap of the state of each mod discussed in some of the longer threads - perhaps start a new thread for the mod with the current state as the first post.

This forum was down for a long time and I just don't have the heart to go through 4 or 5 pages of thread to catch-up.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

I can understand both points on this, as I like looking at all the mods but find it hard to find them with all the requests in the same forum. I can also understand how mods are created using the mod request to do so and inturn the finished mods end up in the request post. The only solution I can think of is a mod for searching so you can remove key words like Req and Request Ie. NOT req, request. Also a help topic for searching (Tips and how to) the forums to help visitors find things.

This is only a idea and if you think this is worthy, may be worth passing it on to be implemented.

I think I had a brain fart.......

Forgot the main part if a mod is finished or in part then just remove request from the subject

Instead of cleaning description I think that it can be useful to decide an universal prefix to ask or suggest mod in 3d title.

For example:

1. Asking for mod:
[Ask> Could someone create....

2. Posting Mod
[Mod> Mod to fly to the moon...

In this way it may be very easy to make a search or to find something between questions and answers.

Ya i like that idea. I started the MOD: part off a while ago so people could see my post and see that it was a post with a mod in it and so it would get more attraction, then people caught on  lol

This is something to what I was trying to say. There must be an easy solution to this, if nothing is done all Mod’s worked on will be lost in time or will be re-asked for again in the Mod’s forum. I think that the key is something to do with search and a key word posted with a mod link to inform that there is a mod there.

I have tested this out searching the forum for [Mod> in the message body but I don’t know if this is just me as I found nothing, so this did not work.

Well they want it to work in the future. Of course it won't work until people start doing it.
