Hello

I want to build a restaurant guide website for my region and need a script for the following.

In Brief:

Business owner can list their own restaurant including menu, area contacts, specialities etc

Search page for listings by area and food type/price.

The results page for a search will need to include contact details, images, full menu description and other misc items. On each result I would like an email reservation link, email contact link and also a reviews link for that particular restaurant link.

Login for Client to change detials.

Login for admin to authorise listings, view listing and edit/delete listings.

Anyone know of any script that can do the above or similar?

Thanks

Andrew

scriptgecko.com has a restaurant guide mod for invision portal, but iirc, it's just reviews. The basic functionality you're looking for is a fairly common design. You may be able to find a similar free script that you can modify that was used by another industry - e.g. real estate or software listings. I've dome similar things in the past for various products.

Just a note - proprietors are pretty good about listing new items - e.g. menu entrees, but not so good about listing price changes for those items. If someone goes to a restaurant listed in your guide and finds that the taco plate costs $2 more than the price on your web site, they'll blame your site. You may want to list price ranges for entrees at restaraunt rather than allow individual menu item prices.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.
