7.8 RTE NOT WORKING

Hi all:

I downloaded and installed 7.8 after upsizing from access to SQL version 7.0 (which worked perfectly by the way, thanks to you guys).

Somethings are not working, such as when trying to open a personal message, it hangs and i have to shut that IE window;

Memberlist also hangs

RTE is not working (i checked directly on the SQL tbl configuration and set it to 1 but still doesnt work, always use the non-RTE form and i'm using IE 6)

And i tryed to download the forum again to install it, but the zip file is corrupt.  Tryied it 6 times and using winzip8 or winrar, it always tell me the file is not valid.

Help needed badly.

Ive noticed that sometimes when you download a zip file and just "replace" it when downloading, it will stay corrupt because windows will cache it. Try deleting the file then re-download.

If its still corrupt make sure you are using winrar and try downloading and saving the file with a different file name.

I've checked again and the files are not corrupted, they downloaded fine and opened in both winZip and winRAR with no problems.

If you RTE is not showing check that you have it enabled in your profile as well as the admin section as it can be tuend off on a per users bases.

Hanging files are usually coursed by corrupted files or email setting problems, try reuploading files and disabling email and see if that helps.
