    Posted: 22 June 2004 at 9:18am

I have searched on this topic, but don't see the solution posted.

I am running version 7.6, using an Access DB.  The server was just upgraded from IIS 5 to IIS 6.

Has anyone found the patch for IIS? or whatever the fix is to make the forum work with IIS 6?

Thanks in advance.

There is no patch required, the forum works on both IIS5 and IIS6 without making any changes.

The only change you may need to make is for the email component, if you are using CDONTS on win2k then this is not available on win2k3 you will need to use CDOSYS instead.

Well, there is definately a problem other than the email component.  If you try to browse to the forum, you get:

error '8007007f'

/marketing/forum/common.asp, line 249

It appears unable to connect to the Access database.  I thought I read where you mentioned reading Wn2003/IIS has problems sometimes connecting to Access?

Line 249 should just be to intiliase a varaiable.

Make sure you are running the latest version and that the database path to your access database is correct, if you still have problems contact your web hosts as it could be a server issue.

Web Wiz Forums should running under IIS6 without any modifications and has been tested and is used on both IIS5 and IIS6 by myself without any problems.
