Having a problem with Beta 4  when creating a new forum

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'Read'.
/forum/admin/forum_details.asp, line 190

This is a clean installation on Windows XP Pro with SQL2000 MSDE running locally as a database engine.

Very impressed with what I have seen so far (having hacked data straight into the database). We are currently using dcscripts which we wish to retire soon, what you have here "out of the box" seems to be a lot more feature complete that snitz

You must either have a corrupted file or you have edited the file.

If you have edited the file check any SQL queries that when refering to the Read field in the database that you place it in square brackets:-

[Read]

Pure out of the zip file - no editing involved (just to double check reextracted it from the zip). The lines involved center around a recordset update so we are not dealing with pure SQL here.  The error is caused by the .update of the recordset

Got it to work by modifying line 144 of forum_details.asp to include the cursor type set to adOpenDynamic. I am using a DSN as the connection string

rsCommon.Open strSQL, adoCon,2
