I have just bought a new CD. I put it into the computer and it said "system files modified". The cd is meant to be protected by cds200. I am not making copies of the cd but I would like to know which files were modified/added.

It wants some files yet it cannot find them on my cd. I think this must be because SP2 RC2 is installed.

You'll need to contact the CD's software publisher to see if it's compatible with SP2 and what, if any, patches they have for it.

Another thing that I hate is games that you load in their entirety on the HD but still have to put the CD in the drive to run them.

and games which depends on OS language when cracking them, like NFSU..

I hate copy protection in general, it just takes a bit longer time to make "a personal backup"
