I am using the old version for the forum and want to use the new version for the security with maintaining the same langauge and skins and all the database
please let me know how to maintain the old forum with the benifit of new versions as we all now old version security is no more reliable

You haven't mentioned what version you are presently using?

Different versions will have different ways of upgrading.

I think the version is too old ,but was O.K. it is 6.34

On the forum download page there is a tool for migrating data from a version 6.x database to version 7. Use this tool for upgrading.

Just replace the ASP files with the new ones.
