What ASP applications do you find to be the most useful? Included can be commercial apps like ASPUpload, or custom scripts found off of PLanet-Source-code.com etc.

I use the "Total Email Validation" script by Lewis Moten on every asp site.

Does the most thorough job of vaidation of any script I've come across, and is really simple to use - e.g.
If IsEmail(account@domain.com) Then ...

lol - very true, but on the plus side, it checks for more conditions than most validation routines and it's easy to modify. When I modify an RE, it takes be hours to get it right

I found ASP Jpg pretty good and ASP Upload.  All of Persists stuff is pretty neat.  Also recently tried XDE's spellcheck component which works a wonder once you sift through all the confusing documents.

Was XDE the one you finally settled on? Did it have a thesaurus as well?

XDE's spellcheck was what we went for in the end, it's spellcheck is great.

Customer support was slow, had to speed things up with a phone call after waiting a week for an email, to find that the thesaurus they advertised ran on MS-Word and needed it to be installed on the server, which even they recommended I didn't use because it was so slow.  A bit cheeky if you advertise it in product description.
