Hi

I've had an interesting problem where the server time seems to change randomly. We've been handling with that by artificially adjusting the code , but we dont' think it's practical anymore to do so. The post order seems to be base on the date posted, so when the date gets set back for some reason, new posts are inserted into the middle of the thread.

So, is there any way you can get the time from an external source?

With ASP this is not possiable.

You are probally better looking into the reason why the server's clock is changing as it sounds like an issue with the server.

Server clock changing randomly? There's only one thing that comes to mind, it's an old box and needs a new BIOS battery, also try to synchronize the time with a time server.
