Tried uploading imges using Aspsmartupload

got this error

 aspSmartUpload error '800a0034'

Bad file name or number

/forum/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 306

 

Anyone any ideas? thanks

The file name may interfier with the upload process for example if it doesnt allow numbers in the file name. Or your server doesnt support the object

i checked the folders when i attempt to upload. Folders were created but cant upload. i think something to do with the paths.

i used the moded asppureupload , that works fine.  I cheked my server supports aspsmartupload.

 

how any clues?

But guess part of learning and figuring out along the way, curiousity is always a friend

ASPsmart upload should be more efficient and has less limitations compared to asppure upload

The error you get can be fairly generic. Most of the time it has to do with someone tinkering with code. If you re-upload the affected files it may work. Also check out this article
