If members have excessive messages in their inbox, can this cause the message board to slow down ?

Thanks.

On the Access version, yes, as Access is a flat file system so each time someone comes to your forum the entire file needs to be loaded into the web servers memory.

The more PM's, posts, etc. in your forum the larger the Access database the larger the file for loading into memory.

If you are using the MS SQL Server version, because the database isn't a flat file, it shouldn't make to much difference.
