For some reason when anyone registers on the forums it sends them to a page cannot be displayed.  Can anyone help me with this issue?

Turn off friendly HTTP errors in IE so you can get what the actual error is.

This will help workout what the problem could be.

This very same thing happens to me. The person who wants to register acually gets registered and the account works fine however they dont get any confirmation notice after submitting the form. Instead they get this error in my case:
 

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/tropheini/t_forum/forum/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 153

Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.

 
I have tried to upload the files again but it doesn't help.

The error means that the email component you have selected in the admin section when enabling the email features of the forum is not installed on the web server.

Disable all email features from the email setup page in the admin area, until you get the correct settings from your web host.

I am having the same problem. I work for an Intranet Department. Previously, someone had installed a WebWiz forum and it is currently working. I am trying to install a second forum on the same server with a different name. It works on my end but others have the same problem as above. I can not figure out what could be causing this. I have tried the solution given above but it still can not be resolved. The forum that is not working is a a 7.9 version download.
 
Those who are not able to register receive a page not found error.
I on my end, tried registering 5 different aliases but still do not get the error they are receiving.  Let me know what else could be causing hte problem.
