Hi.  Is there some way of always having the username and password fields clear when visitors see the logon screen, so forcing users always to key in this info?

Thanks in advance.

Often this is a capability of the browser to keep the Username Password in there. You could have some Javascript that clears the info after page load but it would still be in the password manager when they click the field. The saves way is to install a SSL Cert.

you can stop the password showing when they click on it by add
autoComplete="off" within the text box

<input type="textbox" autoComplete="off">

i also think you can add Value="" which will stop the password/username showing in the fields. im not sure about the 2nd but the first will work.

The first is working even in the auto-filling of the text box. i.e. it disables the auto completing of the input fields.

If you are interested in a SSL certificate, you can buy a private one for your website for only ~$5 / year.
