How you upgrade depends on what version you have.

The powered by link at the bottom, the readme.txt file, or forum documentation should tell you what version you are running.

If it is version 6.x Access version you can use the migration tool available on the download page to move your forum data across to the latest forum database, if it is a previous version to 6.x then upgrading maybe a process of moving the posts by hand in Access.

Hi,

I also have the same question.  I am upgrading from version 6.34 to version 7.9.  I would like to transfer the data in SQL Server 2000 from the old tables to the new tables.  Have scripts been written for this already?

There is a migration tool on the download page for 6.x to 7.x Access databases.

I'm planning on writting an Access to SQL Server import tool for version 7 in the next few days as I have a couple of Access versions I need to transfer to SQL Server myself.

Hello!

I have same situation. I have 6.34 SQL table format but how to convert so it works with version 7.9?

We had a server problem which required a reformat and all the 6.34 scripts were lost so I have all my SQL data but I have to now install new version 7.9.

I have searched the WeBWiz support forums and there is notheing that I could find that addresses this problem.

Thanks for your assistance.

Best Regards, Garett in Vancouver

If you have the access version just read what Borg said to do. If it's sql I don't think the migrater will work, though I think there may be upgrade script that someone posted some time ago. If not it'll mean manual work.
