Hi all,
 
I am totally new to ASP. I am getting an error and I can't figure out why. I have checked and rechecked everything and as far as I can tell the darn thing should work. This is the error I get:
 

Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a03f2'

Expected identifier

/quotes/quote4.asp, line 18

dim static

----^

So what am I doing wrong here?

IIRC Static is a reserved keyword...

i.e. you cannot make a variable called Static,  try calling it something else
