Can’t register - v7.6

I'm having trouble trying to register. I'm using v7.6. When I try to register, I get an error saying that the username is already taken - but it isn't. I log in as the admin - no users with anything remotely close to what I'm trying to register with.

There are 196 users registered, is there a limit to # of users?
 
Any suggestions?

There are certain reserve words that can not be used in usernames, one of them being 'admin'

I'm not trying to register "admin", I'm trying to register as a new user, it's not letting me - keeps saying username already in use, there is no username in use that I'm trying to register with. No users have registered with the name I want to use (i.e. - jjsmith).
 
Any suggestions?

Like I said there are certain reserve words, I can not remember them all off hand but the username you are trying to register probably contains one of these reserve words.

How do I find out what the reserve words are?
Or, how do I find out what words I CAN'T use?

you can find them in the includes/ folder in the common file

i think they are

username
admin
password
salt
noact

and a few others i believe
