This is simply an excellent tool.

The only thing im missing is the ability to upload pictures to different folders that you can select from the file browser.

EG. i have different folder names for pics such as:
Flowers
Pets

and i want to be able to select which folder i want to upload to.
How will this be possible.

Btw im still running the 3.0beta

Beta 3 did have a few issues and was for testing only, so the first thing to do is download the latest version.

In the setup file in the configuration folder in the full version you can change the path to save the images to.

The reason why there are limits on which directories you can view and save files to is for security reasons, without these restrictions and hacker could use this toll to hack your web site.

I have now implemented 3.0 version.
But i think you miss understood my question. im aware of the possibility to change the path in the configuration file, but thats a "static" path. I was looking for the possibility to select different subfolders in the specified upload path through the RTE_file_browser.asp to upload to.

EG.
1 I open the image properties window
2 double click the folder i want to upload to
3 then i click browse at the upload form
4 find the image and press upload

then i want the image to be uploaded to the subfolder i selected in step 2

Is that possible

I hope my english makes sense to you.

Jingle,

You could work around this issue by altering the code in the rte/functions/functions_upload.asp file.  If you first set a session variable for the user before they were presented with the web wize rte page, you could use that session variable to specify a folder... you will also need to know how to alter the code for your upload component and know how to use the scripting.filesystem object as well (to create and verify that folders exist, defalut to the root folder, etc.).

Let me know if you need help doing this... A user cannot create a folder "on the fly" with this software (they say "for security reasons")... but with a little user managment, and a couple of extra pages, it could still be done.Wink
