changing the user name manually through the db shouldn't hurt anything... but the user will have to login under the new name...

make sure though that you don't try to change the password manually... it's encrypted and changing it will make it impossible to login......

Not so fast Guys - The Database field User_Code is a computed value derived from the Username.

Therefore, just changing the Username on its own may not work depending on how the User-Code is used with User login validation - Needs checking.

Hope this helps
Nigel

hmmm,

then, make a new user with the wanted login, and copy the new login and User_Code manually to the place of the old login and user_code...

why the user just don't create a new account?
