    Posted: 22 July 2005 at 7:17am
I have been getting on really well with the RTE 3, but one thing has been annoying me as I cannot seem to adjust it.

I would like to change the font and style of the main textarea - just like this one, ironically. At the moment the text is going in as Times, but I need it to be Arial. It would seem simple, but as the application is a Russian Doll of a setup I am finding it difficult to isolate where this can be changed, and which style it is using.

I have added style definitions in the default_style.css for body, iframe and textarea, and added definitions in a number of other places - not randomly, by scutinising the code. Nothing.

I am going to buy the developer licence but I want to get this sorted first. Please help

The CSS class 'RTEtextarea' should change the text for the text area

Found it.

In RTE_javascript.asp there was a line I missed:

 iframeContent += '<link href="rte/RTE_configuration/default_style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />\n';
which needed the extra "RTE" in the path. Ironically, I had hard coded a style description for RTEtextarea below this in the same iframeContent writing, but this did nothing ...
