Been looking for a ASP.NET (vb) script to process IIS log files and report the results, no need for graphical reports just text will do.

I had one some time ago but doesn't work any more (it was in C# and I always avoid the [voids]) so I need another one in VB.NET this time, can't find anyone.

This type of script done is classic ASP will take forever to process multi-mega log files on some busy web sites, and I can't .NET yet.

I guess LogParser cmd util is an option, but I would prefer a script, so I can protect it in my secure area.

There's got to be scripts for this available somewhere out there, anyone?

Hi,

I wrote a small program in C# that runs this app automatically.

That's a Windows application, even thou we may hook into it, I would prefer a pure .NET script.

Not sure if it's exactly what you want.

Good luck.

I've been looking at this with great interest. Since I host and maintain a number of sites/domains I am interested in this for a number of reasons.

When I saw this, I thought I found what I wanted, however, when I then run the application, it errors out, I can't even determine which error is it, even thou I have allowed errors to show in the Web.Config, but still .NET framewrok don't show the errors, anyway, could it be because the DLL needs to be registered? Hope it doesn't need registering.

That looks interesting, however I can't get the file from their article [viewlog.asp]. They say: "This file is available for download as part of the support material for this article."

Where is it?
