I help run a Frontpage board and there are two of us in the Admin side (the other is in Florida and unreachable now).  And we are unable to edit posts.

When trying to edit, we get:

Quote Access Denied

BTW, we just upgraded all the files.  It also seems (all) the admins can edit posts but not the TITLE of the posts

there was a security issue within the forum, and to prevent editing of the main / first post is disabled.

there will be a fix sometime,

Thanks.  So MODS can edit them but ADMINS cannot?

I know the mods can - one of them edited the post actually.  Not too sure about the owner of the thread.  I have not tested that but they used to could edit the subject
