SessionSaver is another one of those on my MUST HAVE list. Since FF tends to crash a fair bit still, it saves me from losing web pages, especially when I have 20 tabs open to things that I need.

Anyone have any really useful extensions that solve problems for them or make life easier?

Cheers

FF crashes are very few and far between here. Perhaps you have too many extensions? - lol

I use the http headers extension a couple of times a week.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

  1.  Web Developer
Adds a menu and a toolbar with various web developer tools.
CSS and layout tools (Try the CSS editor mode)
       Multiple validations (tools tab) GREAT!
  2. Adblock, (4.4 stars, 78052 downloads)
Once installed, it's a snap to filter elements at their source-address. Just right-click: Adblock: done. Filters use either the wildcard character (*) or full Regular Expression syntax. Hit the status-element and see what has or hasn't been blocked.
  3. NoScript, (4.45 stars, 151192 downloads)
Extra protection for your Firefox: NoScript allows JavaScript, Java (and other plugins) only for trusted domains of your choice (e.g. your home-banking web site). This whitelist based pre-emptive blocking approach prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known and even unknown!) with no loss of functionality... Experts will agree: Firefox is really safer with NoScript ;-)
In that order. I'm not sure how I lived without the Web Developer extention. WOW

<edit>Oh... and FF doesn't crash for me.</edit>

Well.... I'd have to say ABC SMS Send is my absolute favourite, it's flawless, and does anything you want it to, absolutely bloody amazing that thing is, I can't stress it enough.

Crashes are probably due to this machine, and it's probably time to reinstall Windows :(

Another extension that I like is this:

http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/

It puts some useful things like pagerank and Alexa status in the status bar.
