HI all

Whats does this error mean and how can I fix it.

Error Type:
ADODB.Recordset (0x800A0CB3)
Current Recordset does not support updating. This may be a limitation of the provider, or of the selected locktype.
/post_message.asp, line 608

I am running SQL version 7.95

The locktype for that recordset is set so it can be updated so you shouldn't get this error.

This means that it could be a corrupted file so try reuploading the files again.

It could also be a corruption in the database drivers, so if you have admin access to the server download and install the latest MDAC driver from www.microsoft.com/data

A recordset only exsists in a web servers memory and is created by ADO database drivers when a query is run on the database.

Have you tried reuploading the files again?

If you have and you still get this error, then ask the server admin to check for corruptions in the ADO database drivers, reinstalling the MDAC drivers I mentioned before usually fix errors in the ADO database drivers.
